Provenance: Charles M. Russell Museum, Great Falls, MT, early 1970s Private collection, Great Falls, MT Private collection (by descent), Great Falls, MT Featuring 10 Charles M. Russell bronzes, including some subjects never sculpted by the artist before or after, the Trigg Silver Series stands as a unique collection of Russell bronzes. The 10-sculpture set was originally offered in the 1970s exclusively to museum members at the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana. The series, limited to just 100 editions, was cast in sterling silver from molds taken from the original 1904 bronzes in the museum’s permanent collection. The collection is named after Albert and Margaret Trigg, and their daughter Josephine, who were close with the Russells after they arrived in Great Falls.
